Iran Says All Enriched Uranium Remains Under IAEA Oversight
In a statement posted on X, Iran’s Permanent Mission to the UN said that Tehran’s nuclear material remains under continuous international supervision, stressing that no irregularities or unauthorized use have been detected.
The mission also accused the United States of using the NPT Review Conference to portray Iran’s enriched uranium as a threat, arguing that this was intended to distract from alleged violations by Washington and its allies in the field of nuclear disarmament.
It further referenced recent military developments, noting that Iranian nuclear facilities were targeted during what it described as US-Israeli military aggression and the 12-day conflict in June. According to the statement, these strikes occurred while Iran was engaged in negotiations with the United States over its nuclear programme.
The mission criticized international institutions, including the UN Security Council and the IAEA leadership, claiming they failed to condemn the attacks and instead contributed to what it described as a reversal of the roles of victim and aggressor.
