Gharibabadi highlighted that attacks targeting museums and historical monuments amount to an assault on a vital part of Iran’s cultural identity, as well as on cultural property protected under international law.

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, he emphasized that the damage inflicted on dozens of historical and cultural sites during U.S. and Israeli attacks demonstrates that the scope of aggression has extended to Iran’s cultural heritage.

The deputy foreign minister reaffirmed that these actions reflect a deliberate and systematic violation of international law in multiple dimensions, carried out by both the United States and Israel.
