Baghaei announced that the negotiations followed a Wednesday night meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Omani counterpart, during which Iran’s positions were conveyed in detail to Oman as mediator.

He noted that discussions between the Omani and American sides had already started earlier Thursday morning and that the Iranian delegation would join the talks within 30 to 45 minutes.

The spokesperson confirmed that Rafael Grossi would participate in the third round of negotiations, as he had during the previous session.

Baghaei emphasized that Iran’s delegation is fully prepared and serious, with experts covering nuclear affairs, sanctions relief, legal, and economic matters. He stressed that the talks could continue as long as needed to reach a meaningful outcome.

On the agenda, Baghaei clarified that discussions focus on Iran’s nuclear program, including sanctions relief and the country’s rights regarding nuclear technology. “Our positions under these two headings are clear and well-defined. We have presented our views to the Omani side, and the details are being discussed between the delegations,” he said.

He concluded by reaffirming Iran’s commitment: “We have entered these negotiations with seriousness and full readiness.”
