Addressing provincial authorities in Mazandaran on Thursday morning, Pezeshkian pushed back against claims that Iran was responsible for the deaths of 32,000 people. He said the allegation lacked evidence and stressed that Tehran has officially documented its own casualties, including detailed records containing national identification numbers.

The president noted that more than 2,000 members of Iran’s security and armed forces have lost their lives while safeguarding the country and its citizens.

Referring to recent unrest, Pezeshkian said that more than 350 mosques and 300 schools were set ablaze, arguing that such incidents should be classified as acts of terrorism rather than legitimate protest.

He further claimed that hostile actors seek to undermine Iran by targeting prominent scientists and skilled professionals, but maintained that national cohesion and collective resolve have prevented external forces from destabilizing the country.

In his concluding remarks, Pezeshkian underscored the importance of unity, justice, and shared national principles, stating that these elements are crucial for overcoming domestic and international challenges while ensuring long-term development.
