Speaking on Sunday, General Mousavi criticized Trump’s comments on Iran, describing them as reckless and unworthy of a leader claiming to represent a global superpower. He questioned why the US president speaks of negotiations while simultaneously threatening war, calling the rhetoric contradictory and dangerous.

The top Iranian commander cautioned that engaging in military action against Iran would have repercussions so severe that Trump would be unable to repeat such threats globally.

The warnings come amid renewed nuclear and sanctions talks between Iran and the United States in Oman. Trump had previously threatened Iran with strikes if negotiations failed to yield an agreement.

Iran has consistently warned the United States and its regional allies of serious consequences for any military aggression, emphasizing its readiness to deliver decisive responses to any act of hostility.
