Iran Places 11th in Technology and Innovation Among Islamic Countries
The ranking was highlighted by Alavianmehr, head of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), who said the center is responsible for monitoring scientific and technological developments across Iran and other Islamic states. He noted that such assessments play a crucial role in supporting policymakers and planners involved in science and technology decision-making.
Alavianmehr described the World Intellectual Property Organization as one of the most authoritative international bodies in technology and innovation, emphasizing that its core mission is to promote intellectual property protection while fostering global creativity and innovation.
According to the report, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Turkey lead the rankings among Islamic countries in science and technology performance, while Iran secured the 11th position in the overall innovation index.
