Informed Source: Many Arrested Rioters Previously Nabbed, Pardoned

TEHRAN (ANA)- An informed Iranian security source revealed that many of the arrested rioters in the recent unrest, were caught in the deadly riots three years ago in Iran and had previously been pardoned.

This security source, indicate to the arrest of rioters and armed terrorists who played a role in recent events, said: "These individuals had various types weapons and were arrested during police assaults or actions such as armed attacks on police stations or other military sites."

This security source revealed some of these individuals targeted the ammunition dumps in military locations.

He said: Some of the arrested individuals were aware of the exact location of the ammunition dump sites in military areas, as well as the nearest and easiest routes to access these locations.

Hojjat-ul-Eslam Mohseni Ejhei, the Head of Iran's Judiciary, announced on Thursday: "Those elements who are directly or indirectly connected to foreign services and guide agitators and terrorists, either inside or outside the country, are among the top priorities for trial and punishment."
