With the support of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology and within the framework of programs run by the Headquarters for the Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine, the herbal softgel capsule PhytoCalm has been successfully produced.

This product has been formulated by a knowledge-based company whose founders are faculty members of Shahid Beheshti University (Medicinal Plants Research Institute). PhytoCalm is based on a standardized essential oil extracted from the medicinal plant lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and is introduced as a natural option for reducing nervous tension, promoting relaxation, and assisting in anxiety management. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to the active compounds present in lavender essential oil, which play a role in modulating neural responses.

According to clinical findings, oral consumption of this herbal capsule has been associated with a relative improvement in sleep quality and a reduction in anxiety-related symptoms. The softgel formulation enhances the bioavailability and optimal absorption of active ingredients, positioning the product as a supportive option that does not cause drug dependency.

PhytoCalm represents a notable example of the domestic capabilities of Iranian researchers and knowledge-based companies in developing scientifically validated herbal medicines. Alongside conventional therapeutic approaches, it may serve as a reliable and natural complementary option for managing stress and anxiety.
