“The Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research has succeeded in preparing a complete biotechnology package for the propagation of Asian seabass fish, and a contract for the sale of this technology has also been signed,” said Mojtaba Alishahi.

Noting that the only indigenous vaccine used in the country against streptococcosis in seabass fish is also the product of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research, he said that this vaccine is used both in the form of immersion and injection.

“Also, the dual vaccine for vibriosis and streptococcosis has been produced by the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research researchers and has been successfully used in propagation workshops,” Alishahi said.

In a relevant development in 2022, one of the best knowledge-based companies in Iran active in the field of animal, poultry and aquatic feed production had set up an advanced quality control laboratory with the aim of contributing to the improvement of industries and further economic growth of the country.

“All stages of production from arrival of raw materials and production to the final product is monitored and quality controlled,” Amir Aboudi, the managing-director of the company who is a Ph.D. graduate in business, told ANA.

“By the establishment of the R&D department, which is considered as the beating heart of the knowledge-based company, and with the expansion of this department and increasing the research budgets, more high quality products have been produced, specially in the field of aquatic feed which is the key product of the company,” he added.

Aboudi underlined that the R&D section of the company has been highly successful and useful in the health-oriented nature of aquatic, livestock and poultry feed as well as the immunity of aquatic animals against common disease spectrums and in making the country free from the imports of similar products.

He added that over 100 products are manufactured in the knowledge-based company.
