First Startup Weekend for Iranian Medical Students Held in Sari City
The event was part of the programs of the 26th National Congress and the 12th International Research Congress for Medical Students in Iran and was attended by selected groups from across the country.
The first Startup Weekend for Medical Students in the country was held at the University of Medical Sciences in Sari on November 24 with the aim of identifying, supporting and networking among idea creators in the health field and was welcomed by students and medical innovation activists.
On the final day of the competition, 19 groups that qualified for the final, presented their innovative ideas and plans in two sections of special and general themes.
The special themes included the youth of the population, artificial intelligence and new health technologies, nanotechnology and biotechnology, smart health services, nuclear medicine and pharmacy, and health tourism. General themes also included health information technology, health innovation and entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and medical data science, commercialization of new medical technologies, and new methods of diagnosis and treatment.
