IAU-Backed Company Makes Iran Self-Sufficient in Producing Tissues

TEHRAN (ANA)- Managing director of a knowledge-based company told ANA that with support of the Islamic Azad University their company has made the country self-sufficient in producing the raw materials to produce tissues.

In an interview with ANA news agency, Ali Heidari Moghadam, a participant at the Asreh Omid Event, said that they have commercialized the formulation of raw materials needed to produce tissues, adding that with the support of the Islamic Azad University, their company has indigenized the industry and the country no longer needs to import issues raw materials.

Heidari Moghadam, who is a member of the Board of Directors of Faratek Modern Research Technology Company also said that the achievement in making the country self-sufficient in producing the raw materials to produce tissues came after nearly four decades and added that the country does not need to import those materials anymore.

 “There are approximately fifteen factories operating in this field in the country, and currently we have been able to conclude a contract with three factories and give them the product,” Faratek manager continued.

He further said they have based their company at the Dezful Branch of the Islamic Azad University and have planned to meet the demands of all the factories in the country that produce tissues.

With respect to the reason to take part at the Asreh Omid, he said that the event is “a unique opportunity to offer and sell the products of knowledge-based companies.”

“This event is a definitely an opportunity because the Islamic Azad University advertises this product. For example, if the Minister of Science or any other authority of the country and managers of the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade sees this product, they can prevent its import.”

Hediari Moghadam added that they have inked a partnership agreement with Islamic Azad University and they give part of the profits to the university.

He further said that the university assisted their company to grow in both terms of software and hardware.

The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
