President of Iran’s Largest University Assassinated in Israeli Attack

TEHRAN (ANA)- Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, the president of the Islamic Azad University of Iran and a high-ranking physics scientist, was assassinated in an Israeli raid on Tehran in the early hours of Friday.
Tehranchi was assassinated in the attack that Israel launched on the capital city of Tehran at 3:00 a.m on Friday.
Tehranchi was an Iranian theoretical physicist, professor at the Laser and Plasma Research Institute and Department of Physics of Shahid Beheshti University, and a member of the board of trustees and president of the Islamic Azad University. He was a former rector of the Islamic Azad University Central Tehran Branch and Islamic Azad University of Tehran Province and Shahid Beheshti University.
Azad News Agency (ANA) is affiliated to the Islamic Azad University whose demised president was Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi.
