ISPA: Iran’s Steel Output Increases by 1.6% in 1st Two Months of Current Year
According to ISPA statistics, the highest production growth was recorded to be in raw materials of the iron and steel chain, with iron ore concentrate with 17.6% increase and pellets with a growth of 6.8% recorded the highest figures in those two first months of Farvardin and Ordibehesht.
According to this report, production of rebar, iron beam and angled iron showed a 1.5% increase in those two months.
The figures also showed a significant growth of 14% in the production of sponge iron, which can balance the market of the product.
The 3.6% growth in the production of all kinds of steel sheets based on the 3.1% increase in the production of hot rolled sheets was one of the other achievements of the Iranian steel industry as ISPA figures show.
Cold rolled sheet was the only product of the iron and steel chain that decreased in that two-month period.
