Hamzeh Shah Rajabian elaborated on achievements of the research group, and told ANA, “Building several prototypes and practical equipment like a device for measuring the lubrication flow by using the MQL method, an electric bicycle with a new body design, the smart methadone distribution device for prisons and the central polishing device are among the achievements of members of the research group.”

He described thermal vacuum machine, electromagnetic polishing machine, tools cooling machine through electro thermal cooling method, drilling machine by ECM method, and numerous ISI articles and two US-PATENTS as other achievements of the group.

Shah Rajabian said that the main purpose behind setting up the research group is to carry out research and implement projects related to manufacturing and production of parts and products.

Earlier this year, the director general of the health department of Iran’s prisons had lauded the Iranian experts at Islamic Azad University’s Najafabad branch for production of a smart and automatic methadone distribution device for patients in prisons.

Given the numerous health problems and issues in the methadone distribution centers in prisons and the high annual death rate of patients due to methadone overdose, the need to build a device that fits the actual conditions of prisons in Iran in accordance with the health protocols about the use of methadone seemed necessary.

Therefore, the technological team of Islamic Azad University’s Najafabad branch succeeded in designing and building a smart and automatic device for methadone distribution among patients in prisons without operator intervention.

The technological product was unveiled by Nasser Soleimani, the director general of the health department of Iran’s prisons, and other relevant officials.
