Increased Productivity in Armenia, Belarus with Iranian-Made Nanobubble Generators
According to a report by the National Iranian Nano Headquarters, an Iranian knowledge-based company equipped a considerable number of greenhouses in the country with nanobubble generators, and also delivered the machine to Armenia for use in greenhouses there.
Studies show that nanobubble system produces trillions of nano-sized bubbles with an average diameter of 75 nanometers. This provides a buoyancy that prevents them from rising and disappearing from the water after a long period.
The use of water containing nano-bubbles is directly effective on plant root health, which in turn results in improving absorption of nutrients through the roots therefore increased plant production. Other advantages of using this system are increasing shelf life of the crops after harvest, improving root weight, eliminating pathogens without the need to pesticides and fungicides, increasing absorption of nutrients such as calcium and potassium, and increasing the weight of the crops.
Last year, the same Iranian factory made a nanobubble generator with a capacity of 70 liters per second and exported it to Belarus. This machine, which was used in the fish breeding industry in Belarus, had the ability to increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in water up to 40 ppm, and the sizes of the nanobubbles produced in it are less than 50 nanometers. Another advantage of the produced nanobubble generator is that it reduces the electricity use.
The nanobubble generator can easily be coupled with Ozone or Ultrasound for advanced oxidation performance to remove even more pollutants from the water, therefore, it increases the health of the plant root and in turn the plants’ productivity.
Currently, the product of this company is used to produce different types of greenhouse crops such as strawberries, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes and all kinds of ornamental plants in Iran.
