Tehran Calls on G7 to Stop Interference in Iran’s Affairs

TEHRAN (ANA)- The Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned a recent interventionist statement by the Group of Seven (G7) concerning Iran’s internal affairs, denouncing the intergovernmental bloc for interference and a hypocritical approach.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry announced that the Group 7 countries under the inductions by the US and the Israeli regime are knowingly ignoring this obvious fact that the peaceful protests of the Iranian people turned violent after the presence of trained terrorists who were equipped by the Zionist regime.

It noted that the trained terrorists attacked and martyred many Iranian protestors and law enforcement forces.

It further said, the statements and words by current and former US officials, as well as the Israeli officials in instigating violence and killing the people together with the compelling documents gathered by security authorities show the direct role of the Israeli regime in organizing and equipping the armed terrorists and the US support for them.

While emphasizing its legal, moral and humane commitment to safeguarding the fundamental rights of people under the Constitution, including right to peaceful protest, the Islamic Republic will fully act to protect the security of its citizens and public order against the foreign-backed terrorism and also defending the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran against any foreign threat and aggression.

The statement says the Iranian nation will never forget the support by the US, Germany, Britain, Canada and some other Group 7 member-states for the Israeli military aggression against Iran and the killing of hundreds of Iranians in June 2025.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry pointed out that the member-states of the Group 7, with each of them having shameful track record with regard to human rights violations in their countries and in West Asia, lack any moral status or credit to judge about others and making claims about human rights issues in other countries due to their all-out support for the Zionist regime or inaction or indifference vis-a-vis the regime's crimes.
