Iran's FM Slams Britain for Failing to Safeguard Security of Tehran's Embassy in London
TEHRAN (ANA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi criticized the British government for its lack of commitment in safeguarding Tehran's Embassy in London.
During a telephone conversation with British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on Monday, Araqchi condemned the interference of the aliens, specially the United States and Israel, in the internal affairs of Iran.
The Islamic Republic will do its best for prosecuting and identifying the organizers and perpetrators of the crimes commited against the Iranian nation, he said.
On Sunday, Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the British Ambassador in Tehran Hugo Shorter following an attack by unknown individuals against the Islamic Republic's embassy in Lodon.
Araqchi added that the British government is obliged to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of the Iranian Embassy and its staff in London.
