Iran-Made Nanocatalysts Bring Clean Air in Fall, Winter
One of the Iranian knowledge-based companies succeeded in achieving the technology to produce catalytic converters with Euro 5 emission standards by installing a coating production line for various types of automotive catalytic converters.
Different types of domestic car catalysts, cataboxes, thermal protectors, and providing various laboratory services are among the products and capabilities of this knowledge-based company, and its products are currently used in automotive factories.
Another knowledge-based industrial group has succeeded in producing nano-catalytic converters for domestic cars. These converters help reduce emissions by reducing the consumption of precious metals and increasing efficiency.
The catalytic converters produced by the company have received the Nano label from the National Standards Organization of Iran and Iran Nano and Mocro Technologies Innovation Council (INIC).
The three-purpose catalytic converters produced by another Iranian technological company are capable of removing up to 90 percent of emissions from passenger cars and motorcycles. This technology plays an important role in reducing air pollution, especially in the cold seasons when the temperature inversion phenomenon occurs.
The INIC announced earlier that 20% of the country's nanotechnology market belongs to nanocatalyts.
“Nanocatalysts have a 20% share of Iran’s nanotechnology market,” the INIC reported.
“At present, 17 nanotechnology companies are active in the two fields of oil and gas and auto-making in Iran which have succeeded in winning one fifth of the country's nanotechnology market,” it added.
The report noted that 65% of nanotechnology companies operate in the oil and gas sector and 35% in the automobile sector, adding that the market volume of catalysts in the oil and gas sector is 65% and in the auto-making sector is 44%.
