۱۷۶ بازی که در سال ۲۰۲۵ تنها «یک نسخه» از آنها فروخته شد

به گزارش Polygon نکته اصلی و شگفت‌انگیز این آمار این است که مردم همچنان برای خرید بازی‌های پلتفرم‌های بسیار قدیمی و محبوب تلاش می‌کنند. دو کنسول پرفروش تاریخ ایالات متحده، بیشترین سهم را در لیست «سیرکانا» داشتند: کنسول «نینتندو دی‌اس» با ۴۴ بازی و «پلی‌استیشن ۲» با ۴۰ بازی.

شاید به دلیل آسان‌تر بودن یافتن نسخه‌های فیزیکی، سخت‌افزار‌های جدیدتر مانند «نینتندو ۳‌دی‌اس» نیز تنوع گسترده‌ای در این لیست داشتند، از جمله اولین بازسازی بازی «دراگون کوئست ۷» توسط «اسکوئر انیکس» و بازی «سیمز ۳». اما حتی کنسول دستی «پلی‌استیشن ویتا» هنوز طرفدارانی دارد که حاضرند نسخه‌های ویتا از بازی‌هایی مانند «ریمن» و «بوردرلندز ۲» را بخرند. همچنین، «گیم‌بوی کالر» به عنوان قدیمی‌ترین سخت‌افزار موجود در این لیست، با یک بازی حضور دارد.

با این حال، استخراج معنا و مفهوم خاص از اینکه چرا این بازی‌ها روی این پلتفرم‌ها فروخته شده‌اند کمی دشوار است، زیرا تقریباً هیچ روند مشخصی وجود ندارد (به جز یک مورد در ۳DS که به نظر می‌رسد یک نفر امسال شدیداً به سری «اتریان اودیسه» (Etrian Odyssey) علاقه‌مند شده است). در برابر هر فروش بسیار خاص و عجیب، مانند فروش یک نسخه از «جنون سرعت: کربن» (Need for Speed: Carbon) روی پلی‌استیشن ۲ یا بازی «من عاشق گیک‌ها هستم» (I Heart Geeks) روی نینتندو DS، یک بازی اصلی از سری «پوکمون» (Pokémon) یا مجموعه‌ای از «خدای جنگ» (God of War) نیز به چشم می‌خورد.

لازم به ذکر است که «سیرکانا» تنها فروش‌های «خرده‌فروشی» و آکبند را ردیابی می‌کند؛ بنابراین لیست زیر شامل بازی‌های «دست‌دوم» که در سایت‌هایی مانند «ای‌بی» فروخته شده‌اند یا کپی‌های «کینگدام هارتس ۲» (Kingdom Hearts ۲) که کسی در حراج خانگی گذاشته، نمی‌شود.
