Ganjali Khan: One of Old Bazaars of Iran
download all picturesTEHRAN (ANA)- Ganjali Khan Bazaar is one of the buildings of Ganjali Khan complex in the Iranian Southern city of Kerman, built in 1596 AD (1005 AH), comprising of eighteen shops along with a historical and beautiful public bathhouse with the same name.
Located in the old center of Kerman city, these buildings were constructed in abidance by the order of Ganj Ali Khan who governed Kerman, Sistan and Kandahar provinces from 1596 to 1621 under Safavid Shah Abbas I.
Next to Ganjali Khan Bazaar complex, there are a school, a square, a caravanserai, an Ab Anbar, a mint, a mosque and teemchehs, which are all located on both sides of the bazaar, and on the left side of the bazaar, arches were designed to add to the beauty of the place.
