"Vank" Most Beautiful Church in Iran

TEHRAN (ANA)- In the heart of the central city of Isfahan there is a church that, in addition to its charms, has earned the title of the largest and most beautiful church in Iran. Vank Church is one of the historical churches of the Armenians of Isfahan which was built during the time of Shah Abbas II in 1606. In 1655, the residents of Jolfa, a neighborhood in Isfahan, decided to complete the building of the church which took about 10 years.
