Every year, 3,500 tons of persimmon are harvested from Kan gardens. The persimmon of Kan is believed to be the most delicious and the best in Iran. Two-thirds of the 480-hectare fruit orchards of this neighborhood are devoted to persimmons, and for years, citizens of Tehran have been visiting the neighborhood alleys to buy genuine persimmons.
