“Our company is the manufacturer of femtosecond fiber lasers and ultra-fast detectors in different wavelength ranges. One of the products we presented in this exhibition is single photon detectors which are used in quantum technology. We are the only manufacturer of these detectors in Iran,” Atousa Sadat Arabanian, the managing-director of the knowledge-based company active under the supervision of the Laser Plasma Research Institute of Shahid Beheshti University, told ANA on the sidelines of the 14th International Nanotechnology Exhibition in Tehran.

“This detector is designed in the visible and ultraviolet layers up to the wavelength of 800-900 nm and more than one micron in the region of 1,550 nm,” she added.

“These types of detectors are mostly used in quantum technology due to the telecommunication wavelength and they have applications for secure communications and are mostly used in military and telecommunications industries that require coding and encryption,” Arabanian said.

The 14th International Nano Exhibition kicked off in Tehran on November 4 in the presence of companies active in the nanotechnology field.

As the biggest nano event in Iran, the exhibition is an opportunity to get to know about the latest achievements and developments in the field of nanotechnology.

Dozens of nanotechnological companies are present at this year's nano exhibition in various fields like oil and energy, health and health, water and environment, agriculture and packaging, automobile, paint and coating, construction, textiles, and advanced materials, and they are displaying their achievements.

The exhibition provides a suitable opportunity for technological cooperation between startups and activists of the country's innovation ecosystem in the way of commercialization of products.
