Knowledge-Based Company Produces Variety of Industrial Belts
“One of the most important belts used in the industry is the fan belt. V-shaped belts are among power transmission belts and we tried to meet the country's need to this product by its indigenization,” said Davoud Rezavand, a member of the board of directors of the knowledge-based company.
He said that industrial belts transfer engine power from one pulley to another, and added, “V-shaped belts are used in most light and heavy industries, and they are made of rubber and thread, and its cross-sectional area is trapezoidal.”
Rezavand also stated that simple coated V-shaped belts are used in agricultural machinery due to their low-cost and availability, saying that the V-shaped belts are usually resistant to heat and oil.
“V-shaped belts are flexible ribbed belts with longer lifespan and less movement,” he added.
A belt drive is one of the most popular types of power transmission methods besides gears, chain drives, shaft couplings and lead screws. The use of these highly efficient mechanical drives is increasing with every passing year.
Due to the many advances in belt technology, they are now able to meet high-power demands while being extremely safe, efficient and durable.
